I currently live in Chicago Heights. Like Steve I spent a big portion of my life at the coke plant. I was hired in at the age of 19 in 1975. When it closed in 2001 I was 46. I am 66 now ! I have a flood of memories and think of the people and the plant often.
I found your chess set in the lunch room of the electric shop!
That would be cool to see that set, I have been playing since I was 9 but am by no means very good. I play a lot online with people from around the world.
