These badges are not limited to the Chicago coke plant, or any Acme/Interlake coke plant in particular. The Toledo and Zenith plants were integrated so these would have been issued to all employees regardless of what department they worked in. I am lucky enough to own the first four as seen above – hopefully one day I can find one for the other Interlake plant in Perry Ohio.
And while these are not Acme/Interlake badges, I also located these after years of searching eBay. I got the subcontractor one first which I was slightly disatisfied with. Then I got the orange one later – this is the real deal!
