Alpha Tube is a manufacturer and marketer of welded steel tube and pipe and slit steel products. Alpha Tube specializes in the production of larger diameter, light wall mechanical tubing, backed up with strong technical support and customer service.

Primary markets include the appliance, automotive, construction, heating and cooling, household and leisure furniture, material handling, recreational, service center, and truck exhaust industries.

In 1997, Alpha Tube consolidated all of its operations into a new modern facility in Walbridge, Ohio, outside of Toledo. The company continually develops new product designs and shapes to further penetrate the premium markets. In 1997, Alpha Tube was awarded ISO 9002 certification and has begun preparations to secure QS9000 certification.

Primary markets include the agricultural, automotive, brick, construction, metal, forest products, paper, and wholesale industries.

The Home Office and plant is located in Riverdale, IL (outside of Chicago), adjacent to the ACME Steel manufacturing plant. Satellite plants are located in New Britain, CT, Leeds, AL, and Bay Point, CA. In addition to steel strapping, ACME Packaging also supplies plastic strapping. In 1998, the company will begin to manufacture its own plastic strapping, affording greater control over quality and cost. In 1997, Packaging was awarded ISO 9002 certification. It currently markets to 25 countries worldwide and is actively persuing additional global opportunities.

ACME Steel's new $400 million steelmaking mill is located in Riverdale, IL (near Chicago). This new mill makes MiniGrated^TM Steel and allows ACME to be price competitive with mini-mills while still keeping its high quality level as an integrated steelmaker.
